Started at Resilience on the January beginners course. I first want to say, the coaches really are great. I’ve been taught by 3 different coaches over the length of the beginners course (so far, on week 5 of 6). Each coach has their own style, but all of the sessions are structured in a way that feels connected and consistent. I cannot explain how unfit I was the first day walking in the door, but the sessions have been structured really well to balance hard work with learning, making it really accessible regardless of your fitness level. I’ve still got a long way to go, but I already feel fitter and find myself recovering between drills or rolling much quicker. There is also a real team atmosphere and all of the people I have met so far have been really great to learn with. From day one, I’ve felt welcome—there’s no ego, just a great mix of people helping each other improve. I don’t usually write long reviews, but felt this was deserved. I’d highly recommend Resilience to anyone considering starting Jiu-jitsu, or looking for a fun (and addictive) way to build fitness.

Great gym, Great atmosphere, Great coaching. The team at Resilience Jiu Jitsu are extremely friendly, knowledgeably and always willing to go the extra mile for their students! If you're looking to train in No Gi BJJ then this is the place to do it!

If you’ve ever thought of giving Jiujitsu a try, I cannot recommend the beginners course at Resilience enough! The coaches and community are awesome, everyone is so welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help whenever you need it. Starting Jiujitsu can seem intimidating and a lot to take in but the beginners course has just the right amount of learning techniques/positions and exposure to rolling that you always leave feeling like you’ve learnt so much and been able apply it in your rolling. The coaches know exactly when to push you and get you to push yourself and exactly when to ease things off, they’ve got lifetimes of knowledge between them and you can tell they love to share it and see people on the course develop. 5 weeks in, I’m fully addicted, it’s had such a positive impact in so many different ways and I can’t wait to carry on the journey at Resilience, my only regret is that I didn’t find them and Jiujitsu sooner!
