I've been taking my daughter to the Kickstart programme for several months now and she absolutely loves it. Hats off to Sensei's Luke and Chloe, they keep a dojo full of very young children engaged, active, focused and enjoying themselves. I'd recommend this class to anybody

Really fantastic place with three excellent Sensei's for my seven and four year old, Sensei Anthony, Sensei Jordan and Sensei Scott. Yes, even Jordan is excellent. The eldest does karate whilst the youngest does Kickstart. Both really enjoy going to sessions and constantly ask during the week when the next one is. The sessions are disciplined and push the children, whilst still being supportive with plenty of 1-on-1 help to improve techniques. Class sizes are small enough to allow everyone to receive coaching. The kids really enjoy the sense of progression, with sticker charts and stripes on belts providing constant motivations without feeling cheap... you certainly need to work hard for that belt! Obviously as a purpose-designed dojo it has mirrors, high quality flooring and plenty of equipment For about £13/week for two sessions I feel it is excellent value for money. The kids are not only having fun and staying fit but also learning self defence which could be just as crucial as first aid. After just a few months my seven year old can sometimes catch me off guard and so I will be joining soon... don't want her to put me in an armlock or throw me to the floor if I try and ground her when she is in her teens ;) Overall they offer trial sessions so come along and see what it's like. For us the trial session was enough for us to sign the forms and come back next week but there is no pushy sales, just very keen kids.
