I recently had a man try to convince me that constant hard sparring wherein he got injured regularly was positive, had I not known of this gym I may have ended up in such space in seeking entry into martial arts, and I am thankful to come away from each session having been graced with such an opportunity to learn. It is an impeccable gym with impeccable coaches and impeccable people. I travel over an hour to get here and I have no regrets, an hour or two is more than worth the privilege of experiencing Sabaidee gym.

When I was in London, I booked a session with Headcoach Aaron at SABAIDEE MUAY THAI and from the very first moment, I felt welcomed—not just as a visitor, but as part of something bigger. Aaron treats everyone with respect and meets them on equal ground, creating an atmosphere where you immediately feel like you belong. Sabaidee Muay Thai Academy is not just a gym; it is a space where people come together, not only to train but to grow—physically, mentally, and even spiritually. Aaron’s approach to Muay Thai is unique. His teaching combines modern methods with the deep-rooted traditions of where Muay Thai was born. It’s a balance between the present and the past, between innovation and the timeless lessons of the Golden Era. He doesn’t just teach techniques—he teaches understanding. Every movement has meaning, every drill has purpose, and everything is connected to the philosophy behind Muay Thai: discipline, resilience, and respect. During our session, Aaron took the time to explain things in a way that made sense to me. He adapted his teaching to my individual needs, focusing on areas where I struggled and helping me refine my technique. It wasn’t about simply going through the motions; it was about truly learning, about feeling the essence of Muay Thai in every strike, every block, every breath. Even when I reached my physical limits, he recognised it immediately. He didn’t just push me harder—he understood how to guide me through it, respecting both my body and my mind. That awareness, that ability to see what a person truly needs, is what makes him an exceptional coach. What makes Sabaidee so special is not just the training—it’s the energy, the values, and the sense of community. It is a simple place, yet it offers something incredibly rare: an environment where growth is more important than ego, where tradition and progress exist side by side, and where people come not just to train, but to find something deeper. In a world where many gyms focus on commercial success, this place stands for something different. It stands for personal development, for the spirit of Muay Thai, and for the idea that we become stronger not just by fighting opponents, but by overcoming ourselves. I can wholeheartedly recommend this gym, and especially Aaron as a coach. He is not only a great trainer but a true ambassador of the art of Muay Thai. If you are looking for a place to train, to improve, and to find a community that shares real values, Sabaidee Muay Thai is the right place. Here, it’s not just about learning how to fight—it’s about learning how to grow, in every sense of the word. See you soon 🙏🏻🫶🏻👊🏻

I'm going to give an honest and fair review of my experience. Firstly, the coaches that teach their are great. However, there are few rooms for improvements as follows: 1) I understand when it's Bank Holiday the venue closes. However there's been multiple occasions where we are told last minute or towards the end of the week e.g. Thursday evening, that class is cancelled on Saturday as the coaches have a fight to attend. This is quite inconvenient if you're on a contract membership and struggle to attend weekdays due to work and prefer going in on Saturday. In this instance, it would be ideal if they have extra staff to cover on Saturday when the main coaches go attend their fights only because we have paid for classes in advance and are following their timetable and can be quite frustrating being told class is cancelled. Or maybe notify us 2 weeks in advance so we can reschedule our plans for the week. 2) It gets very over-crowded especially during the busy days e.g. Saturday. It'll be ideal if there was a bigger hall so it's easier to move around especially during sparring to minimise accidents as there were few incidents of the heavier experienced students clashing into me causing injury as I'm a beginner myself. 3) Lastly, the blue training mats need changing as it seems to be overused. The edges that stick to the foam have detached and it's like a sharp plastic side sticking out which can be risky when stepping on it causing cuts/blisters to the feet. Other than that, overall it's a good gym.
