This will be the nicest building you will ever roll in unless you find yourself having to silently take down terrorists in the White House. I travel a fair amount and love to drop in on gyms when I can, being in London for a week I was able to come out to Uncommon Jiu Jitsu for a morning class. The training facility looks brand new, very clean mats, nice locker room, a place to easily get water and fill bottles. We started the class with some flow rolling and then into the learning section. Jack was Professor for the morning class and while we went over a couple of passes I was a little familiar with, his explanation and attention to little details made them seem new. I was very impressed with his knowledge of not only the art itself but of different comp rules and how to respectfully apply pressure to encourage movement out of my opponent. The free rolls began with us starting in the position of what we just learned and worked gradually to fully open rolls. My rolling partners were welcoming, technically adept, and provided a great mental and physical workout. I left the gym hoping to make it back every day I can anytime I’m in London. Jack, thank you again for the time and knowledge! OSS!
